Anne-Marie n: eco-minded, wishful wanderer
A 2007 graduate of Coastal Carolina University (Conway, SC), I combined my many passions for a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (concentrating in Marine Science and International Studies) with minors in Environmental Science and Spanish. The youngest Editor-in-Chief of CCU's student newspaper The Chanticleer, I held the position for three years while advancing my skills in leadership, communication, writing and editing. Beginning in college, my involvement in the sciences has led to participation in marine geology research aboard the NOAA ship Nancy Foster, co-writing a stormwater management plan for CCU, participating in national conferences and workshops, and providing research assistance at Pacuare Reserve - a leatherback nesting site on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica.
After a life on various beaches, I am now residing in Philadelphia - a city booming with urban agriculture, commuter cycling, and many other environmentally-focused projects and organizations. Every day I am thankful to be surrounded by so many informed and active citizens, and the opportunity to participate in so many of these important projects.

The rainy day brain child of Anne-Marie D'Onofrio, (anne)vironment is a single source for many branches of environmental information. A relatively new site, the content is constantly being expanded. Please check back often to see what's sprouted!
